The YMCA of Auburn-Lewiston is thrilled to announce the return of our Twin Cities Swim Team (TCST), with a new season of competitive swimming set to kick off in November 2025. We’re excited to once again provide this vital program thanks to a partnership between the YMCA and Bates College in Lewiston, fostered by our new CEO Brian Curtin.

TCST aims to strengthen community bonds and promote active lifestyles among youth ages 6-18 in Androscoggin and Oxford counties. Kids will develop their swimming skills and foster teamwork, all while engaging in healthy competition. Weekly practices will focus on technique refinement, endurance building, and sportsmanship, providing a supportive environment for swimmers of all levels to thrive.
The YMCA of Auburn-Lewiston was one of the teams to have participated in the inaugural National YMCA Swim Meet in 1923 and has offered competitive swimming opportunities for youth in Central Maine for over 100 years. Our swimmers have had the honor of representing us in meets as far away as Florida, North Carolina, and Virginia, as well as numerous meets across New England. TCST has also played an active role in Maine’s YMCA Swim League since its formation in 1963.
