The Y is filled with passionate leaders, thinkers, and doers, who all share a common goal to serve and make our community healthier, happier, and stronger. We are looking for someone with:

  • Previous experience and training instructing group exercise classes, developing your own choreography or willingness to gain experience and develop further skills under YMCA guidance.

  • Current CPR/AED/Basic First Aid Certification.

  • A current professional Group Exercise instructor or Specialty Certification if applicable (YMCA, ACE, AFAA, NETA, ACSM, NASM).

➡️ LIFEGUARDS

Interested in meaningful work with a wide variety of hours? Are you a swim enthusiast or certified lifeguard with an interest in helping others? The YMCA of Auburn-Lewiston is now hiring lifeguards for part-time and seasonal positions. Our aquatics team offers a flexible schedule and consistent work. Join our experienced and professional staff and help keep our community safe!

  • Must be at least 15 years old.

  • Lifeguard certification through American Redcross or the YMCA (preferred).

  • Professional Rescuer CPR/AED/First Aid Certification (preferred).

  • Must be able to comprehend and enforce all rules and safety requirements surrounding pool safety.

GROUP EX UPDATE
We will be moving our group exercise equipment at Turner St to a newly renovated space downstairs on Wednesday April 10th.

We will have regular classes Wednesday morning, but this week we're canceling Bootcamp at noon, Yoga at 1:15pm, and Group Power at 5:15pm. We will also be canceling the 5:30am Bootcamp early Thursday.

The first class in the new space downstairs will be 8am Yoga on Thursday April 11th.
