Qi Gong FAQ
Non-members have the option of purchasing a 10-visit punch card ($55), becoming a member, or paying a $9 guest fee each week. Please visit the Welcome Center (front desk) at 62 Turner Street for more details.

Qi Gong is primarily a health practice aimed at cultivating and balancing the body’s “Qi.” It is more of a meditative practice designed to enhance physical and mental health, support healing, and promote relaxation through breath-work and simple movements.
No prior experience is necessary! This Qi Gong class is beginner-friendly and open to all fitness levels. You don’t need any special equipment—just wear comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement, and bring a water bottle. Qi Gong is about gentle, flowing movements and breath-work, so there’s no need for mats, weights, or other gear.

Yes! By the end of the 6-week course, you will have learned a full sequence of movements that you can practice on your own. The instructor will guide you through each movement, ensuring you feel confident in continuing your Qi Gong practice at home. Regular practice, even just 10-15 minutes a day, can help maintain the benefits you’ve gained during the course. There will also be a group practice session offered for those that have already completed the first course to meet up and practice together!
Yes, missing one class is manageable, and you’ll be able to catch up easily with guidance from the instructor. However, if you expect to miss multiple sessions, it may be better to wait for the next course, as each class builds progressively on the previous one. This ensures you get the most out of the practice and fully understand the movements.
