A low impact aqua class designed to take pressure off your bones and joints. Water provides natural resistance in all directions, helping to strengthen your body without the need for heavy weights.
Let’s get healthy together! The YMCA of Auburn-Lewiston offers a selection of over 30 group exercise classes weekly.
Classes that require registration include Aqua, Cycle, TRX, Qi Gong, Fit & Fun, Workshops, and Outdoor classes. All other classes are generally drop-in!

No. Classes are free for members, but you can purchase a day pass or a punch card and attend a class, as well.
Classes that require registration include Aqua Classes, Cycle Classes, Fit & Fun, and Special Events (including any classes held outdoors). All other classes are generally drop-in!
The group exercise schedule for all locations generally stays the same from week to week. One exception is that the 8am Saturday morning class at Turner St. is on a monthly rotation:
1st Saturday: Bootcamp
2nd Saturday: Sprint 8 Cycle
3rd Saturday: Group Blast
4th Saturday: Group Active
5th Saturday: Instructors Choice
For land classes, all you need is a pair of athletic shoes to change into, a water bottle, and a towel, if desired.
For yoga classes, please bring a yoga mat.
For aqua classes, bring a swim suit, towel, and shower shoes, if desired.
Yes, the Y asks each class participant to sanitize any equipment they use before and after each use with the provided cleaner and wipes. Staff regularly clean and sanitize equipment daily.
