It is with heavy hearts that we share news about one of our LiveStrong® at the YMCA program participants, and our dear friend, Gary Roak. In May, Gary discovered his cancer was no longer in remission and had returned with a vengeance. Gary passed away on June 30th, 2025, at the age of 67.
Gary and his wife, Lyn, both expressed how impactful LiveStrong® at the YMCA was for them and how they wished to see it continue offering help and support to others.
