Group Exercise Schedule
The Auburn-Lewiston YMCA offers a variety of Group Exercise classes to meet the needs of our members.
BOOT CAMP
This class is for anyone looking for a fun and challenging
workout! Instructors will incorporate interval exercises along
with circuit stations and sports drills to offer a total body
workout for any person who is ready to take their fitness to the
next level. Our 30 minute classes are designed to give you a
“kick butt” cardio workout followed by our core and flexibility
classes.
Step Class
Step class is designed with more advanced choreography,
giving you the same great cardiovascular workout.
Yoga
A practice of traditional Hatha Yoga postures that will engage your body and mind in a new way. Yoga can not only improve flexibility, strength, posture, and balance, but also can relieve stress and sharpen your internal focus.
Yoga/Pilates
A combination of traditional Yoga postures combined with the benefits of
Pilates.
Pilates
Increase your energy, improve your posture, strengthen, lengthen, and stabilize your core. Pilates can do it all. You may even get a half hour of step at no extra charge.
Group Power
Group Power is your hour of Power! This 60 minute barbell program strengthens all your major muscles in an inspiring, motivating group environment with fantastic music and awesome instructors. With simple, athletic movements such as squats, lunges, presses, and curls, Group Power is for all ages and fitness levels. Discover results, discover Group Power.
Group Groove
Each Group Groove starts with a warm-up to get you loose and ready to move. You'll then experience seven songs taking you through the different dance styles. You will literally get to stomp, flick, shimmy, and smile! You may even find yourself and others screaming for an
Encore!
Group Cycle
This class is a non-impact individually paced cardio workout
on our specially designed Keiser M3 stationary bikes. The
class is set to motivating music in a non-competitive
environment to ensure a fun and effective experience for all
participants regardless of fitness level. Remember:
You must register before each class.
Living Fit - Functional Exercise Class
This exercise class improves overall fitness and encourages
social interaction. Have fun and move to the music through a
variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength,
range of motion, cardio-respiratory endurance and activity for
daily living skills. Fit for all ages.
Classes are on Tuesday & Friday: 10:15am – 11:15am
Living Fit - Stretching & Breathing Class
This class will move your whole body through a complete
series of seated and standing stretching exercises. Chair
support is offered to safely perform a variety of exercises
designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement.
Restorative breathing exercises and a final relaxation phase
will promote stress reduction and mental clarity. Fit for all
ages.
Classes are on Wednesday: 10:15am – 11:15am
Yoga Stretch
You will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance, and range of motion. Restorative breathing exercises and a final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.
